Let's start with an uncomfortable admission for a marketing company to make: GeoSimpli is new. We don't have a wall of client logos or a decade of case studies. What we have is a method — and rather than asking you to take it on faith, we're going to prove it on the one business we have unrestricted permission to experiment on.
Ourselves.
This page is our public lab notebook. GeoSimpli is Client Zero, and the goal is simple to state and easy to verify: when someone asks an AI assistant how to get their business recommended by ChatGPT in South Africa, the answer should be GeoSimpli. You'll be able to check our progress yourself at any time — just ask the AI.
The baseline (where we started)
On 11 August 2026 we ran our own visibility check — the same class of questions we recommend clients use — across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity (with web search where available), including:
- "How do I get my business recommended by ChatGPT in South Africa?"
- "Who does AI search optimization for small businesses in South Africa?"
- "GEO agency Western Cape"
- "generative engine optimization western cape"
The honest starting point: GeoSimpli was not named in any of those answers. On the "who does AI search optimisation for SMBs in South Africa?" query, the models recommended other South African agencies (for example Le Roux Digital, Glimpse DMA, Honey Whale, Shift One, and others) and pointed to their sites as sources. Other prompts returned generic GEO playbooks or ambiguous "GEO agency" results (including government or GIS-style interpretations) — still without GeoSimpli.
That is our zero mark. Everything below is what we are doing about it.
The plan — the same playbook we sell
We'll be running GeoSimpli through exactly the process our clients get. No secret extras, no shortcuts we wouldn't offer you:
1. Foundations. Structured data across the site so machines can read who we are, what we do, and where. A complete, active Google Business Profile. Every listing of our business information made consistent, everywhere it appears.
2. Question-shaped content. Pages and articles that directly answer the questions our customers actually ask AI — starting with how ChatGPT decides which businesses to recommend. If our content is genuinely the best answer available, the AI has every reason to use it.
3. Independent mentions. The signals AI trusts most are the ones we can't write ourselves: coverage, directory presence, round-up inclusions, reviews. We'll document which mentions we pursue and which actually move the needle.
4. Measurement. Monthly, we re-run the full query set across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and the rest, record the results, and publish the movement here — up, down or flat.
The monthly log
Month 1 — August 2026. We are at the start of the public experiment, not the end of a campaign. What we actually did this month:
- Baseline. On 11 August 2026 we ran the visibility queries above across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity. GeoSimpli was not named in those answers. On the "who does AI search optimisation for SMBs in South Africa?" query, other agencies were recommended instead. That is our published zero mark — not a highlight reel.
- Honest website. We rewrote public marketing copy so it matches reality: founding-client positioning (not fake "trusted by dozens" claims), a Results page that explains what we measure instead of invented case studies, and our location as Riebeek Kasteel in the Western Cape. If we ask you to trust our method, our own site has to be trustworthy first.
- Question-shaped content. We published practical articles on how ChatGPT picks businesses, GEO vs SEO, AI visibility checks, Google Business Profile, reviews, website questions, and schema in plain English — the same education layer we sell as part of the playbook.
- Founding clients. We opened limited founding-client slots on the site (Growth Plan at founding pricing, locked for twelve months, with permission to publish results). No paid client case studies yet — that is intentional and public.
- Still ahead (and on the log). Structured data (schema) across the site, a complete Google Business Profile, and independent mentions we do not control yet. Month 1 is foundations and honesty; the needle on AI recommendations has not moved for our own brand, and we will say so until it does.
(Log continues monthly. Misses get published with the same prominence as wins.)
Why we're doing this in the open
Three reasons.
It's the proof we can offer today. Case studies take clients and months. Method takes nothing but work — and publishing the work lets you judge it long before you pay for it.
It keeps us honest. A public log with dated results can't be quietly edited into a highlight reel. If something we try doesn't work, you'll read about it here, along with what we changed.
It's a preview of what working with us feels like. Our clients get a monthly report showing exactly where they appeared in AI answers and what we did about it. This page is that report, for us.
Want to be part of the experiment?
We're taking on a small group of founding clients — businesses that get our full Growth Plan at founding pricing, locked for twelve months, in exchange for letting us publish their results as honestly as we're publishing our own. Wins and misses alike, backed by the same guarantee every client gets: measurable improvement in 90 days, or we work another month free.
